Firm adds Jim Adox to team as Managing Director
Madison, Wisconsin and Ann Arbor, Michigan, April 16, 2007 - Venture Investors, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest venture capital firms, today announced the opening of its second office in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The office will be led by Jim Adox, who is joining the firm as a Managing Director. Adox is an experienced venture capital professional with deep roots in the Ann Arbor venture community. Most recently, Adox headed RidgeLine Ventures where he co-founded university spin-outs and advised early stage companies. Prior to RidgeLine, Jim was a Partner at EDF Ventures. In his new role at Venture Investors, he will work to discover promising technologies and build the infrastructure required to create leading companies in Michigan and throughout the Midwest

Jim has significant ties to Michigan and Venture Investors. He serves on the boards of the Ann Arbor IT Zone and the Frankel Commercialization Fund, a pre-seed investment fund at the University of Michigan, is a frequent lecturer at the University and serves as a judge for the school’s business plan competitions. Jim earned his B.S.M.E., M.S.E. and MBA degrees at the University of Michigan. Jim has worked with the Venture Investors team on numerous co-investment deals over the past eight years.
